Booking space in the capital

Hi Jody and Alison, 

I reached out to Jonathan Brown about booking the Old Supreme Court and got the following reply. It sounds like food is not allowed in the Old Supreme Court. Jody, will you confirm that the space Jonathan is referring to is where you would like to have an event?

Good Afternoon Courtney, 

We are still a bit early to book for the end of January, but we can get the process started. I have attached a reservation request packet for the table area outside the OSCC, as that is the space we allow for food to be served. There is no food or drink allowed in the Old Supreme Court. Please be aware I have attached the request packet for the table area only. If the group would like to use the courtroom as well, please let me know, and I will provide you with the request packet for the room. 

Please review the packet carefully and return the completed request form to me. It is required that the group has a legislative sponsor, and Senate Services is currently requesting that we receive a direct, written communication from the legislator stating that they are sponsoring the event and will be in attendance. It is the responsibility of the requesting party to secure the confirmation from the sponsoring legislator. 

If you have any questions, please let me know, and I will do my best to answer them for you.

Can we not have the hallways outside the chambers? We have for years met in the mezzanine outside between the two chambers or downstairs on the first floor in a open gallery and not in a specific room.

Can we ask about that? Maybe call Julia at CCAt and ask how she got the messanine area?
