Good morning!
I have an author talk on 5/14 at Old Firehouse Books in Fort Collins, and I think it's best for me to put some space between that event and yours so they don't cannibalize each other. It's too tricky for me to promote similar events, a few days apart, happening in the same town.
I could do a 5/16, 5/18 or 5/19 event if it's in Loveland or Estes Park.
Good dates for Fort Collins, Loveland OR Estes Park are: May 5, 8, 9, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30.
What do you have in mind for your event? What will it look like? I'm VERY interested in a panel discussion about the healing power of nature for our mental health.
If you're planning a panel discussion that involves RMNP folks, maybe County park folks, and behavioral health staff, that would be terrific. I mention Rocky in my memoir. And Gudy Gaskill -- the Mother of the Colorado Trail, and first female president of Colorado Mountain Club -- grew up exploring RMNP. I've spent a lot of time in that park, and it holds a special place in my heart. I also grew up in Fort Collins, went to college at CSU, raised my kids in Fort Collins, and now live in the upper Poudre Canyon, so I'm super local (I spent a lot of time hiking on Forest Service land, and in our City, County and State parks, too). I can bring that local's perspective to the discussion (from my childhood to motherhood to empty nester).
What are next steps for these possible events? Could it be a three-city tour of one event? Thanks so much!
Becky
