You’d probably cross that country off your travel list – but that’s exactly what Trump is trying to do right here in the United States. He wants to require tourists, even from close U.S. allies like the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan, to hand over DNA, facial scans, fingerprints, five years of social media history, and more just to enter the country. [1] We’ve already seen how the Trump administration misuses this kind of data. Right now, they’re feeding our personal information into massive, unaccountable systems for facial recognition, DNA collection, and location tracking – then using it for God only knows what. [2] And the timing couldn’t be worse. With the 2026 World Cup and the 2028 Olympics approaching, the United States should be welcoming the world – not warning people to stay away.
