2026 NACo Legislative Conference

Feb. 21–24 | Washington, D.C.

Submit policy resolutions by January 20

In preparation for the 2026 National Association of Counties (NACo) Legislative Conference, we encourage members to get involved and have your voice heard in Washington by submitting an interim policy resolution.

All interim resolutions must be submitted electronically using the form on this page by Tuesday, January 20, 2026. For details on NACo's policy process, click here.

The resolutions process provides members with the ability to participate in national policy decisions affecting county governments. During the Legislative Conference, our 10 policy steering committees and the Board of Directors will consider legislative and policy resolutions to guide our advocacy until the NACo Annual Conference in July 2026.

Important Reminder

If you plan to submit a policy resolution, you (or a designated representative) must appear in person at the relevant steering committee meeting at the 2026 Legislative Conference to introduce and explain the resolution.

Register for the 2026 NACo Legislative Conference

During NACo's 2026 Legislative Conference, February 21–24 in Washington, D.C., nearly 2,000 elected and appointed county officials will discuss federal policy issues that impact counties.

All county officials are welcome to attend policy steering committee meetings, workshops, plenary sessions, the federal agency expo and more.
