 NEW  OATH Website Address Update -- The EMTS Online Application Tracking Hub (OATH) has moved to a new web address: https://colorado.imagetrendlicense.com/lms/public/

General Announcements

Ground Ambulance License Renewal - Apply NOW! -- The EMTS Branch has made the Ground Ambulance Licensing Initial Application available for the 2026 renewal accessible to all agency Gatekeepers who have not yet applied. It is now available through your Agency’s OATH account.

To start the application, the gatekeeper will need to:

  1. Log in to their OATH account

  2. Click Applications and then Start on the left-side menu

  3. Click View All Services Applications

  4. Click Apply Now next to the “Ground Ambulance License - Initial” application

To renew your current ground ambulance service license, your agency must submit the “Ground Ambulance - Initial” application by the deadline of June 1st, 2026. 

If your agency is already licensed and you need to add or transfer any ambulances to your agency before July 1st, 2026, email cdphe_grou...@state.co.us before starting the initial application. They will provide guidance as to the best course of action to ensure we get your new vehicles permitted while at the same time ensuring a smooth transition using the initial application. Training and Education

Trauma Program Leadership Workshop -- Apr. 14th, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Join this workshop to gain a stronger understanding of Colorado’s trauma system rules and the roles of trauma program leadership. An optional training session for users of the state-sponsored ImageTrend Patient Registry platform will follow the workshop from 1:00 –3:00 p.m. Invitations will be sent to trauma program managers, trauma medical directors, and data administrators listed in each facility’s organizational profile.  NEW  Pediatric Education for Prehospital Providers -- Apr. 23rd, 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Pediatric Education for Prehospital Providers (PEPP) represents a complete source of prehospital medical information for the emergency care of infants and children. Developed by the American Academy of Pediatrics, PEPP is an exciting curriculum designed to teach prehospital professionals how to better assess and manage ill or injured children.  NEW  Advanced Trauma Life Support -- Apr. 24 - 25, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. The course emphasizes rapid assessment of life-threatening injuries, prioritizing treatment using the Airway–Breathing–Circulation approach, and standardizing care across providers to ensure a coordinated response. EMS Research Study - Barriers to EMS Education -- Dr. Nicole Hansen is performing a research study that aims to better understand the educational, structural, and personal challenges experienced by EMS professionals throughout their training and careers. The findings are intended to inform improvements to EMS educational practices, workforce development, mental health supports, and long-term professional well-being. Participation involves completing an anonymous, survey-based questionnaire that takes approximately 10 minutes. No personally identifiable information is collected, and participation is completely voluntary. Access the research study survey here.

The EMTS Branch invites stakeholders to share questions, comments, and general feedback through the Ask the State Feedback Form. This form supports ongoing communication and engagement with the Emergency Medical and Trauma Services (EMTS) Branch at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).

We welcome input from anyone with an interest in our work and value hearing stakeholder perspectives. When appropriate, submitted questions and EMTS responses may be featured in a future edition of EMTS On the Go.

EMTS on the Go Submission Request Information

Do you have news or an upcoming event that may interest the EMS and trauma community? Submit your announcement for consideration in our news blast. Fill out the EMTS on the Go submission request for consideration.

Events two months out will be considered for inclusion under Training and Education. Events submitted more than two months out will be placed as "save the dates" and will run for two weeks. Early submissions will then need to resubmit two months or less out from the start date of the event.

Access the EMTS Branch Public Event Calendar for a list of official meetings of councils, boards, and task forces, EMTS office holidays, and statewide stakeholder events facilitated or attended by EMTS branch personnel.
