Freedom for All: Pink Party is THIS Friday! I wanted to share a bit more about what Pink Party and Freedom for All mean to me.
I was born and raised in a small Iowa town, surrounded by soybeans, corn, and deep-rooted tradition. It was the kind of place where kids drove tractors to school and everyone knew each other. Growing up there, it often felt like freedom belonged to everyone else but me. It felt impossible to live authentically, and I still carry those memories with me.
Through my own experiences and the stories community members have shared with me, I began using the idea of Freedom for All.
True freedom shouldn't depend on where you grow up, what you look like, or the traditions you were raised in. Freedom belongs to each of us because of our individuality, our uniqueness, and our importance to this movement and our community.
That is why Freedom for All and Pink Party belong together. They align directly with One Colorado’s core beliefs. We all deserve to be free, to belong, and to live with dignity and respect. Most importantly, we deserve to celebrate our joy and build the future we deserve, and have fought hard for, together.
