Hello County Commissioners!
We are so excited to invite you to an evening with the ASPCA for Policy, Paws & Pinot, our first ever roadshow across Colorado! We will be stopping in Fort Collins, so we wanted to make sure you received the invite. Enjoy wine, craft beer or a N/A beverage, delicious food, and snuggle adoptable puppies while learning about Colorado’s most urgent issues impacting pets and pet owners. Join ASPCA staff, fellow elected officials, and members of your community for a discussion about increasing pet-friendly housing, expanding access to veterinary care, supporting ranchers and farmers, and more.
Please choose the event most convenient for you, and RSVP before Tuesday, August 13th. Space is limited!
Please feel free to contact me with any questions. We hope to see you there!

Subject: Re: You're invited! An Evening with the ASPCA
Hello Sabrina,
Thank you for the warm invitation to attend the 8/22 ASPCA event in Fort Collins, and while it would be nice to snuggle some adoptable puppies and learn about the pressing policy issues regarding animal welfare, pets and pet owners, I will respectfully decline your invitation. Honestly, I don't do as well as I used to in group gatherings, and perhaps you can send me a brief on what the issues are and what role county commissioners have in addressing those issues. Would I be able to stop by and snuggle a puppy if I change my mind? I don't take up much room.
