Building Permit and Harassment from Chad in the code enforcement office

Chad Gray has been harassing my tenant, Rex Fredrickson for the last several years. He forced him out of a private office at our shop at 2020 N College Ave saying that he could not park his RV there, even though he was an occupant of the property. Chad claimed instead that it was not a motel unit, and he would have the building destroyed. I later discovered it was a motel unit from the early 1950's and should have been ok to rent as a office. Needless to say no need to destroy the building.

Rex then moved his RV to a property owned by Connie Ackelson on the south side of Willox and was working in an agricultural capacity to pay for the parking by taking care of Connie's horse. Rex was forced out by Chad threatening Connie. Claiming Rex could not live on the property even though he was acting as an agricultural worker.

He moved his RV and stored it at my house and rented the basement bedroom. Chad is now sending me warning letters. I responded by email which he didn't acknowledge and followed up with additional threats. Chad complained in the first letter that the RV wasn't owned by an occupant of dwelling which it is.

Chad has probably received an intent to sue notice from Mr Fredrickson and shouldn't be contacting me further. Nevertheless I am correcting his complaints except for telling Mr Fredrickson to move out, I am attempting to comply in spite all his accusations to the best of my knowledge. I include Mr. Gray's letters and my email response.

Can you help resolve this issue?

Concerning Rex Frederickson There is an existing lease. He is an occupant. There is no violation here.


I can't respond to the other information you supplied.

Is the information correct or just a possible red herring? Are you being suckered into a possible lawsuit?  Who is the complainant? Do you have a validated complaint? Do they have a standing to complain? I have been informed about a lawsuit against the complainant.
