WHAT
The Information Technology Department is rolling out a new software called Kaseya to all computers. Kaseya will replace an existing software called Bomgar. While each software has the ability to remote into computers, Kaseya will provide a vast amount of functionality that Bomgar currently cannot do. Kaseya will need to be installed on every computer in the county.
WHEN
The Kaseya deployment will begin today, Monday, June 6th at 11:00 am and will continue until it's installed on every computer countywide.
ACTION NEEDED
Kaseya will need to find your computer on the network in order to install itself. This can be achieved by one of the following methods:
- On-Premise: Your computer is turned on, docked, and connected to the LC Secured network either through hard-wire on wireless
- Remote: Your computer is turned on and authenticated to Zscaler. You can check to see if you are authenticated by finding the Zscaler icon in your system tray, right-click, and choosing Open Zscaler. Make sure the Authentication Status shows Authenticated. If it does not, click Authenticate and log in with your network username and password.

- Remote: Your computer is turned on and connected to SonicWall VPN
ADDITIONAL INFO
The installation will be silent in the background, so you won't see anything happening. However, once it has been successfully installed, you will have a new icon in your system tray. As this project moves along, IT staff will be contacting anyone who did not receive the deployment to ensure it's on every computer.
