Celebrating Over 100 Years of 4-H in Larimer County
4-H has been a part of the Larimer County community for over 100 years. The Ranch Events Complex has played an integral role in that history by fostering hands-on learning experiences, friendships and leadership opportunities for various 4-H clubs. The Ranch offers 4-H clubs access to facilities where they can practice archery, dog obedience, livestock activities and, most notably, where 4-H members can show off their projects at the Larimer County Fair.
Our community is grateful to be home to Larimer County CSU Extension, which is the home of one of Colorado's largest 4-H programs. Youth participate in engaging learning activities that are supported by Colorado State University's latest research-based curriculum. The Ranch is proud to be a partner of CSU Extension's 4-H program and offer a community gathering place for 4-H members to learn valuable life skills.
Our 4-H partners played an important role in developing the new 4-H, Youth, and Community Arena. We are excited to offer the new arena as an additional space for both 4-H clubs and community organizations to host livestock events, practices and educational opportunities year-round. The arena will be available for 4-H events starting in April 2024, coinciding with our official grand opening celebration. 4-H groups can book events by contacting Diane Kern at ke...@co.larimer.co.us. Other community events will be available for booking in 2025.
