2023 Larimer County Fair and PRCA Rodeo
The 2023 Larimer County Fair and PRCA Rodeo is just around the corner! The fair kicks off on Friday, Aug. 4 and will continue through Tuesday, Aug. 8, – we are excited to have you all join us for the 140th year of fair activities! During the 2023 fair, progress on The Ranch Master Plan will be visible through construction activities across the complex. We are excited for you to see the progress we’ve made over the last year and appreciate your patience as we evolve our facilities to meet the needs of our Larimer County community for many years to come!

Parking and Access:
Access to the fair will take advantage of our brand-new roads and entrances this year. Parking will be available in Lots A-E, as well as overflow dirt and gravel parking in Lots Z, AA, and Trailer Parking Lots. Visitors can access all parking off Fairgrounds Avenue through the traffic lights at Arena Circle (our main entrance) or Andalusian Drive (best for trailer and barn access). Consistent with previous years, parking will be free for all attendees and exhibitors at the Fair. We are currently working to add additional parking spaces for exhibitors and visitors in future years.

Parade:
The fair parade will be in Downtown Loveland on July 29 at 9:30 a.m. This year’s theme is “Through the Decades” to celebrate the long-standing traditions of our county’s fair. You are welcome to join us for an after-party from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Foundry in Downtown Loveland. There will be drinks and live music by Eric Golden!

75th Larimer County PRCA Rodeo:
The 2023 Larimer County Fair PRCA Rodeo, presented by Pedersen Toyota, will be returning to the Budweiser Events Center Aug. 6 through 8. Get ready for the action as the rodeo kicks off at 7 p.m. each night. Don’t miss out on this incredible experience!
All three rodeo nights will include eight rodeo events, featured below, including the fan favorite – Mutton Bustin.’
- Bareback Riding
- Steer Wrestling
- Bull Riding
- Barrel Racing
- Tie Down Roping
- Team Roping
- Saddle Bronc Riding
Each night will be dedicated to various groups. Rodeo promotions include:
- Sunday, Aug. 6 – Military & First Responder Night presented by Greeley Hat Works.
- Monday, Aug. 7 – 4-H Youth Night presented by Breeze Thru Car Wash.
- Tuesday, Aug. 8 – Bobblehead Night presented by Thompson River Pediatrics

Carnival Americana:
Take yourself, or your kids, to Carnival Americana for a variety of amusement rides, games and food concessions! Save and pre-purchase your wristband by visiting our Carnival Americana tickets page. Wristbands and tickets will be available for purchase at the carnival gate the day of the events. *Only cash is accepted at the carnival gate.
The Carnival Americana hours are as follows:
- Friday, Aug. 4 – 4 p.m. to midnight
- Saturday, Aug. 5 – noon to midnight
- Sunday, Aug. 6 – noon to midnight
- Monday, Aug. 7 – 4 p.m. to midnight
- Tuesday, Aug. 8 – 4 p.m. to midnight

Construction Updates and Zones
Construction on the 4-H, Youth, and Community Livestock Arena began in August of 2022. Crews have been hard at work transforming an uneven dirt parking lot into a beautiful new arena for the Larimer County Community. The arena will be available first and foremost to the community and will include 125 feet by 200 feet indoor arena, classrooms, livestock wash areas and educational facilities. The arena is nearly complete and will be one of the most visible construction projects during the 2023 fair, so make sure to take a look and see just how far we’ve come on building this amazing new arena.
The MAC Equipment, Inc. Indoor Arena’s west pavilion wash racks, restrooms and storefront have been relocated to the west side of the pavilion and will be operational for the 2023 fair. Work continues on the space between the east and west pavilions to expand the warm-up space to 90 feet by 200 feet. This will more than double the warm-up space available to exhibitors and will extend the covered space the full length of the two pavilions.
Crews are working on putting the finishing touches on the new Arena Circle and several new interior roadways. Arena Circle is now located on the outer edge of the parking areas to create the new entrance and exit points on the southeast and northern boundaries of the property. This shift is designed to improve traffic flow throughout the complex and enhance the safety of visitors moving between facilities at The Ranch. The new Arena Circle opened in May and all three supporting roads, Richard Rule Road, Show Ring Road and Clydesdale Parkway, will be open for the 2023 fair.
Work also continues on the future RV camping locations on the northeast end of the complex. The new RV camping sites will eventually have utility hookups for sewer, water and electrical connections. These new RV camping amenities will provide additional capacity for exhibitors to enjoy during complex events. Some of these spaces will be available for dry camping without hookups for the 2023 fair.
