I am excited to announce the official launch of the Tool Library! Our first meeting is scheduled for Wednesday November 15th from 530pm-8pm at the Altona Grange near Longmont. Calendar Event Here If you cannot make it, don't worry, we will have more events over the winter. Having the right tool for the job is crucial for completing a task safely and efficiently. We look forward to learning what our producers' needs are and how we can help them run successful businesses.

MISSION
The Tool Library, LLC, supports producers with a stable of equipment and expertise to aid in the economic development and prosperity of Colorado farms and ranches.
VISION
A local food system where farmer, rancher, farm hand, and ranch hand have access to the logistical support and knowledge base necessary to create resilient businesses rooted in regenerative land management.
Yearly Membership: $25 to $250 per farm/business - Pay what you can
Rental rates:
Farmer Rate - used on your farm/ranch - 66% less than a retail equivalent
Contractor Rate - used when working for others - 10% less than a retail equivalent
Currently available items:
1000 gal water trailer - water hauling w/ pump
Dump trailer 6,000lbs load capacity - bulk compost, gravel, manure, feed totes (7-pin connector required)
5’ Crimp Roller - for compact tractor, cover crop termination and biomass generation
7’ Seed Drill - interseeding into existing cover and direct seeding into bare ground
Bale Spear - for use on Skid Steer to move large round and square hay bales
Triple Bottom Plow - Cat II hitch
Chicken Processing Trailer ** Under Repair will be ready by spring of 2024 **
Possible future items:
Hand Tools - rakes, broad forks, tine weeders etc
Equipment and implements - Walk behind tractor (BCS), small tractor (30hp), medium tractor (50hp), large tractor (100hp)
Transportation vehicles - reefer box truck, lift gate, trailers, pick up truck
Food Processing and Handling Equipment - industrial vacuum sealer, label maker, totes/crates

The Tool Library has been made possible by: The TumbleWeed Fund, UpRoot, McCauley Family Farms and Lazy Acres Ranch. In addition, many others have played a part in helping this idea sprout, MadAg, Flatirons Farmers Coalition, Rocky Mountain Farmers Union, Boulder County Farmers Market and the many others who have discussed this idea enough that it echoed.
