Thanks, Daylan! I'm sure he will be busy coming on board. Hopefully we'll meet him soon, and it would be great to introduce him and BCC when he's settled into the role and ready to get acquainted with the locals.

Good morning, Rocky Mountain Team--

I am very excited to let you know that Gary Ingram has been selected as the Superintendent of Rocky Mountain National Park. Gary is currently the Superintendent at Cumberland Island National Seashore and Fort Frederica National Monument where he has served since 2014.

Gary is a kind and seasoned leader who comes to you with a wealth of knowledge and experience gained during his 30 years with the NPS. Prior to his current position, Gary was Superintendent at Jimmy Carter NHS and Special Assistant to the Alaska Regional Director (Washington D.C. Desk Officer). He began his NPS career in Yosemite where he served in variety of positions from GS-5 to GS-12 including law enforcement, horse patrol, emergency medical services, fire fighter, shift supervisor, Chief Liaison Officer, and Management Assistant.

Gary is thrilled to be joining your team. In his words “I am profoundly humbled and deeply thankful for this incredible opportunity to serve at Rocky Mountain National Park. It is a terrific honor to serve as the Superintendent and I look forward to learning from and working with park employees as we all serve our visitors and communities.”

I think Gary will be an excellent fit. He is a caring and empathetic leader who supports employees and develops and maintains effective relationships with partners, stakeholders and communities. His energy, enthusiasm and optimism will, I believe, elevate an already high functioning, high performing team and assure your continued success as you tackle the challenges and opportunities ahead.

Gary’s tentative EOD is July 30. Thank you in advance to Kyle Patterson for serving as Acting Superintendent during the interim period.
