Hello commissioner Kefalas,

My wife and I are strong supporters of you, your work, and the positions you’ve held over the years.  Thank you for the work you do on all our behalf.

We live in the Terry Lake area, and therefore, have a biased opinion on the proposed Loveland Ready-Mix cement batch plant. Nevertheless, I’ve tried to understand and assess the project with a fair and open mind.  My observations are described in the attached letter, which was also sent to Larimer County planners, engineers, and the Loveland Ready-Mix management.

Kind regards,

John Perzow and Leslie Dwyer

Hello John & Leslie,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the proposed concrete batch plant and for your kind words. The batch plant in question is a proposed Special Review land use case that is still in review and will be scheduled for a public hearing before the Planning Commission (PC) and Board of County Commissioners (BCC), probably several months out.  Michael Whitley, Senior Planner, is the case manager, and he is your best point of contact. I am glad that he is also receiving the emails from concerned residents around Terry Lake because he can answer your questions about process and procedures. Given the pending hearing and the quasi judicial nature, we cannot speak with the public - "ex parte communication." Once hearings are scheduled, neighbors will be notified, and the public will be able to continue to send written information and testify at the hearings. Hope this response is helpful. Be well.
