Hello Commissioner Kefalas,

I hope that you, your family and those amazing and brilliant grandchildren, are all doing well. I am volunteering with the Northern Colorado Intertribal Pow-wow Association. We have planned to host a Pow-wow on August 28-29, 2021, at the HP Ballfields, 3404 E. Harmony Road. I am writing to ask you if you would honor us by giving the Welcome Address. It will be on Sunday August 29, 2021, at 11:30 am until approximately 12:30.

This is wonderful news!  I apologize for the delay in getting back to you, your email went to my junk mail.   That won't happen again.  Yes, you may bring the entire family!  There will be an area of children's activities, and youth dancers as well.  It will be great to see Beth again, and to meet your children and grandchildren in person.

I am so sad to have to inform you that, NCIPA has decided to postpone our Powwow until next year.  Due to the increase in COVID-19 cases, we felt it was the responsible thing to do.  

Thank you so very much for accepting our invitation to deliver the welcome address.  Everyone, was thrilled and honored!  They are very disappointed, yet hopeful that you will be available next year.  Until then please take care, and stay safe.

Dear Erma,

Thank you for this update and prudent decision. I look forward to participating in the 2022 NCIPA Powwow, and in the meantime, we were very grateful to meet Linda (?) and her family who who did a wonderful Native American ground blessing ceremony at the start of the LC Fair and Rodeo.
