Dear community members,

The attached packet includes **NEW** Notices of Home Owner and Resident Rights in English and Spanish, along with instructions for landlords on posting and sharing these notices in your community(ies).  The updated Notices reflect changes to the Mobile Home Park Act (Act) as a result of House Bill 2022-1287 Concerning Mobile Home Park Resident Protections (HB22-1287) (effective October 1, 2022).  A complete copy of HB22-1287 is also included in the packet.

As a result of HB22-1287, the update Notices include information on rights and responsibilities under the Act that apply to individuals renting homes, as well as home owners renting lot space.  As a result, the Division is requiring that landlords share copies of the Notices this year with renters as well as home owners.

The Division will be sending the attached packet by certified mail next week to each landlord designated as the primary contact for a registered mobile home park registered in the state.  Landlords must ensure copies of the updated Notices are posted in all common areas of the community, and shared with all residents, within seven (7) calendar days of receiving updated Notices from the Division.  Detailed instructions on posting, maintaining, and sharing copies of the Notices are included in the attached packet.
