John,
Easter is just around the corner. In a few short weeks, families across Northern Colorado will gather around tables filled with food and surrounded by people who love them.
But for men like Johnny, being part of a loving holiday moment used to feel impossible. After aging out of foster care with nowhere to go, Johnny spent years surviving on the streets. He scraped together meals wherever he could find them and slept under a bridge with only a sleeping bag to keep him warm. Drugs numbed the pain but kept him trapped in an endless cycle.
“I gave up there for a while,” Johnny admits. Hope seemed like something meant for other people.
John, your gift now can provide a meal at our table for a neighbor ready for change. Please give generously to provide Easter meals and care to men experiencing homelessness in our community.
|
When the cycle of drugs and survival finally became unbearable, Johnny took a chance on our rural recovery community in Wellington, where men find healing through faith, work, and brotherhood.
When Johnny finally came to Harvest Farm, everything began to change. Within two weeks, he felt something he had not experienced since childhood: safety.
“I felt welcomed. I felt like I belonged,” Johnny shares. “This place gives hope to those who don't have any.”
Your compassion provides that first meal, that first safe night, that first glimpse of hope. And often, that single meal opens the door to lasting transformation through counseling, job training, and spiritual growth.
This Easter, please help welcome more men like Johnny with a warm meal and the promise of a new beginning.
