Homeless shelter code change; lawsuit refiled

Man sentenced to 25 years for his role in selling lethal dose of fentanyl to Loveland teen

Judge Daniel McDonald sentenced Samuel Strait to 25 years in prison for the distribution charge as well as three years for the motor vehicle theft charge. McDonald also revoked the deferred sentence in the 2022 assault and menacing case and sentenced him to three years in DOC for the menacing charge and 24 months in the county jail for the assault charge. All cases will run concurrently and will reflect 523 days of credit for time served.

Montana woman pleads guilty in downtown Loveland shooting

Ayla Osterloth, 19, appeared before 8th Judicial District Court Judge Sarah Cure Tuesday morning where she pleaded guilty to an amended count of attempted second-degree murder, a class 3 felony. Her other charges — which include two counts of attempted first-degree murder, a class 2 felony, and four sentence enhancers including one for violent crime causing serious bodily injury and three of violent crime with the use of a weapon — will be dismissed in the agreement.
