Mead to Berthoud
The speed limit on the project has been lowered to 65 mph. Please obey speed limit signs.
A temporary closure of Weld County Road 34 over I-25, as well as southbound I-25 on- and off-ramp closures at WCR 34, is ongoing through Saturday, June 14 at 5 p.m. These closures will allow crews to pour concrete pavement, complete the new WCR 34 overpass, and perform ramp and future intersection earthwork as construction progresses. Detours will be in place:
- Eastbound WCR 34 traffic and eastbound WCR 34 to northbound I-25 traffic will turn south on County Road 7, turn east on Colorado Highway 66, turn north to northbound I-25 and exit onto WCR 34.
- Westbound WCR 34 traffic and westbound WCR 34 to southbound I-25 traffic will turn north on I-25, loop around at Colorado Highway 56 to southbound I-25, exit onto CO 66 and turn west, then turn north on CR 7 to WCR 34.
- Southbound I-25 traffic exiting east at WCR 34 will continue to CO 66, turn around and travel north to WCR 34. Traffic exiting west will take CO 66 to northbound CR 7.
- Eastbound WCR 34 traffic intending to enter I-25 will turn south on CR 7, turn east on CO 66 and enter I-25.
- Northbound I-25 traffic exiting west at WCR 34 will loop around at CO 56 to CO 66, then continue west to northbound CR 7.
- Southbound I-25 traffic exiting east at WCR 34 will continue to CO 66, turn around and travel north to WCR 34. Traffic exiting west will take CO 66 to northbound CR 7.

Weld County Road 38 over I-25, east of Mead, will be temporarily closed starting Tuesday, June 17 at 7 a.m. through December 2025 to allow crews to reconstruct the bridge over the highway. Work will include demolishing the current aging bridge, constructing new concrete caissons, setting new bridge girders and deck panels, and pouring a new concrete road surface. The new bridge will be built in the same footprint as the current bridge, maintaining the existing road alignment and increasing cost effectiveness.
- Eastbound WCR 38 traffic will take County Road 7 south to Weld County Road 34, turn east to the I-25 E. Frontage Road, and turn north to WCR 38.
- Westbound WCR 38 traffic will take the I-25 E. Frontage Road south to WCR 34, turn west to CR 7, and turn north to WCR 38.

Northbound and southbound I-25, under Weld County Road 34, will be closed overnight Sunday, June 15, through Tuesday, June 17, 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. These closures will allow crews to demolish the current bridge over the highway in preparation to move traffic to the new bridge.

Additional Closures:
A temporary closure of Valley Road is ongoing to allow crews to reconstruct the bridge over the road. This closure will be in place through Summer 2025. Motorists should plan accordingly, as no detour route is available.
Southbound I-25 traffic shifted to the northbound lanes between Colorado Highway 56 and Colorado Highway 66 into a head-to-head configuration and will be in place through 2025.
Approximately one mile of the southbound I-25 Express Lane, between mile points 251 and 250, from approximately Weld County Road 44 to Weld County Road 46, is closed through late 2027.
