I'm running for City Council!

Dear Friends,
I’m writing to you to share my exciting news that I am running for Fort Collins City Council, District 5! The election is in November, and I would love your support!
As a fourth-generation Coloradan and a long-time resident of Fort Collins and District 5, I am running for office because I want to continue serving the community I love. I went to elementary school here, attended Colorado State University and for the past 17 years, I have lived, worked, volunteered and played in the district I want to represent.
My Liberal Arts degree from CSU has helped me be a connector, a clear communicator, and a problem solver and these skills have enhanced my community advocacy work, especially while engaging with immigrant students through my work with CSU and ISAAC. Getting close to this issue and to the people with lived experiences has deepened my knowledge of my community and deeply enriched my life.
I have worked with students, families, education institutions, non-profits, foundations, businesses, and community members to improve resource gaps in affected communities. I have met countless individuals, made many friends and worked hard to help improve people’s lives all through the lens of equity, human dignity, and trust.
Last year I was chosen to participate in Leadership Fort Collins, a nine-month program, where I deepened my understanding of our community and met with important leaders in Northern Colorado. This year I am participating in Leadership Northern Colorado where I am continuing to expand my knowledge of our region and make important connections.
I will work hard to protect and build upon the values, resources and strengths of District 5 that are crucial to the overall health and well-being of Fort Collins. I look forward to connecting with the residents to learn more about the issues impacting their lives.
