Hello Commissioners-
This evening (7/31/26) two 4-H exhibitors participating in the sheep show passed out presumably due to the heat and lack of air flow in the livestock barns and arena despite the numerous Portacools. I spoke with Laura Boldt, head of the Livestock shows, about ideas to help with the airflow and heat including renting additional portable coolers. Laura mentioned that the rental companies will not rent units to The Ranch. I am reaching out to you to see if perhaps you could help facilitate loans of cooling units from other Larimer County departments or entities to The Ranch in hopes of creating a safe environment for our kids to exhibit their 4-H animals. The Larimer County Fair is such a wonderful event for our community to celebrate together.
