In news, we 've got a report on a Larimer County Community Corrections hearing that rejected Austin Hopp's latest request to be transferred from prison into a community corrections program. Loveland High School students staged a protest Monday morning over the handling of last week's threat incident.  And our partners at BizWest have stories on Loveland-based Heska being sold to Mars Inc., and the announcement that Children's Museum of Northern Colorado is looking to be part of Centerra South. Austin Hopp rejected from Larimer County Community Corrections program

Hopp’s case was brought before the board just months after the Weld County Community Corrections Board unanimously voted in February to reject his request to be released to the Intervention Community Corrections Services in Greeley.

Loveland High School students staged a walkout Monday morning in protest of the Thompson School District’s handling of a threat that Loveland police deemed noncredible last week, and to support their principal, Michael James, affectionately referred to as “MJ,” who was put on administrative leave following the incident.

Loveland weather for Tuesday: breezy, 35 and 1 to 3 inches of snow

Tuesday is expected to be breezy, with a high near 35 and a 90% chance of snow showers, mainly before 3 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Winds could gust as high as 34 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches is possible.
