New police chief; city manager and attorney raises

In news, we've got a story on the swearing-in of Loveland's new police chief, Tim Doran, who said "I can assure you, change is coming." The City Council approved a 6% raise for City Manager Steve Adams and a 13% raise for City Attorney Moses Garcia Tuesday night, though members of the public turned out to argue against the raises. And Larimer County commissioners did their reorganization for the new year, naming Jody Shadduck-McNally as the 2023 chair of the board and John Kefalas as chair pro tem. Tim Doran sworn in as newest Loveland police chief

Doran was chosen out of a group of three total people vying for the seat at the end of last year. He will replace Interim Chief Eric Stewart, who temporarily took over the department last April following the departure of former Chief Bob Ticer.

Larimer County Commissioners continued their tradition of trading off leadership at the start of each new year Tuesday, deciding at their administrative matters meeting that Commissioner Jodi Shadduck McNally would serve as chair of the board of county commissioners and that Commissioner John Kefalas would serve as Chair Pro Tem.
