As of July 16, 2022, Colorado and the rest of the United States are using the 988 dialing code, a new, easy-to-remember three-digit number for call (multiple languages), text, or chat (English only). The BHA is supporting the logistics and implementation of 988 services in Colorado, including the administration of the Colorado 988 Enterprise Board. Learn more about 988 in Colorado.

988 Transition-Age Youth Survey
Please share this survey with transition-age youth (ages 16-25). This survey was created by The Healthy Transitions Team, Kelly Bowman, and young adult leaders. The purpose of this survey is to receive feedback from transition-age youth on the implementation plan for 988 in Colorado.
It’s extremely important for organizations and leaders to reach out to youth, and ask for their input. A lot of us young adults have ideas and thoughts to share on these programs, but don’t know how to reach the people who need to hear them. Or don’t have the time or energy to learn how to get involved. Or worry that if we do write a letter or email, it won’t really be read. Let’s make it easier for young adults (and everyone in our community) to contribute their ideas in order to improve our services.
If you are a young adult (ages 16-25), and would like to be involved in future opportunities to improve mental health services, please email Arianna Mojica!

Workforce Strategy Public Meetings
The recent passing of Senate Bill 22-181 is an investment providing a key opportunity to expand and strengthen the behavioral health workforce to deliver improved access to Coloradans. As part of the bill implementation, we are required to create a behavioral healthcare provider workforce strategic plan by September 1, 2022.
In order to ensure that the behavioral health workforce strategy contains community-informed solutions, we welcome public review and input regarding the strategic plan. Please register to attend one of the public stakeholder meetings and provide your feedback. For questions or problems with registration, please contact Kristin Ingstrup.
