Dear Commissioner Kefalas,
We'd like to extend a personal invitation for you to join us on
Puppy Mill Awareness Day!
Harley's Dream is hosting the first "Puppy Mill Awareness Day" festival in Berthoud on Sunday, Sept 26th from 11AM - 5PM and as a Colorado animal welfare supporter we'd love to have you join us.
Typically we have hosted an annual summer festival called 'Hops & Harley', which has attracted more than 3,500 attendees. This year we are launching 'Puppy Mill Awareness Day' instead and our Guest Speakers include First Gentleman Marlon Reis and Berthoud's Mayor, Will Karspeck, who will officially proclaim September 26th as Puppy Mill Awareness Day. Billboards about this important event have already gone up!
What will Puppy Mill Awareness Day look like?'Puppy Mill Awareness Day' will be a dog and family friendly festival in downtown Berthoud’s Fickel Park (just north of Denver). Admission is free to the public and this awesome event will feature speakers, music, food trucks, pet-focused vendors, adoptable dogs, a doggie flea market, awareness booths, a rescue dog parade, and much more!
This will be a great event to help educate dog-lovers in the northern Colorado communities and there will be how-to information and action items available to help encourage citizens to engage with their local elected officials about this topic.
