Schmer Farm annexation; Jax to close east Loveland store


The Schmer Farm is pictured  on the southwest corner of U.S. 34 and Interstate 25 in east Loveland on Wednesday. A King Soopers store is planned for the northwest corner of the property. Loveland City Council on Tuesday gave its unanimous approval to the annexation of the 122-acre Schmer Farm property on Tuesday, a key step in the deal for a potential grocery store in east Loveland. Loveland weather for Thursday: Partly sunny, 29 and afternoon snow possible

Thursday in Loveland is expected to be partly sunny, with increasing clouds, a high near 29, and a 30% chance of snow after 2 p.m., according to the National Weather Service. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than a half inch is possible. The overnight low will be near 18, with a 50% chance of snow. New snow accumulation of around an inch is possible.
