To The Larimer County Commissioners

My name is Chris Hansen. I am writing on behalf of myself and my wife. I have lived in Livermore my entire life(62 years) and my wife for 25+ years. We have seen the changes that have taken place and not all it has been ,in my opinion, good for the community. The proposal that is before us now is driven by a few that stand to benefit from a new water system. We don’t believe that the development, just to justify the expense of the water system is viable. There are many concerns I have about the proposal. Increase in traffic congestion and questionable businesses etc near the school are just two that stand out. I went to that school from first to eighth grade, back in the day. We believe that most who move or remain in the community are there for the relatively peaceful setting that has been established. We don’t feel that it is responsible to follow through with the proposed development just to get The Forks the water they need. If we need a water source for our ranch we don’t try to figure out a way for everyone else to pay for it. We have had to drill a well to provide stock water and it was at our own expense. I could go on and on, but I think you get the point. Livermore is a big part of our past and future and hope that you are considerate of the entire community when making decisions that will affect us. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely
Chris and Janeth Hansen

Hi John
Just to be clear. This is being pushed by Bob West( one of the Forks owners),Cheryl Rennels(water provider) and Zach Thode. I know some other owners of the Forks are not in favor. I don’t want my views to reflect negatively on the Forks.
Thanks

Dear Mr. Kefalas,

I have a question and hope you can answer and clarify.  It was my understanding at the meeting that a Character Area Plan has not been started or for that matter, agreed upon by the Livermore residents (community.)

However, in reading the Livermore Rural Center - Livermore Residents Discussion About the Future of Livermore, Authored by Bob West, I noted a paragraph (see below attachment - Paragraph 6) indicating the following: the County has agreed to fund a planning discussion with local residents, consisting of a Character Plan for Livermore, shown as a "Rural Center" in the Counties Comprehensive Planning Document, in the Spring 2024.

So, my question is, what was specifically funded?  How much was the funding?  And what specifically is taking place in Spring 2024?

Thank you for your time.
Toni Martinez
Livermore Resident
