Invitation to join Fort Collins Rescue Mission this Thanksgiving

Hello,

My name is Ellis Petrik. I am the Community & Event Specialist with Fort Collins Rescue Mission. On behalf of Seth Forwood, I am reaching out to offer you an exclusive volunteer experience at Fort Collins Rescue Mission.

We are looking for 3-5 people who would be interested in serving a traditional Thanksgiving meal at our shelter. Every year, we make it a priority to do something special for our guests in lieu of the Thanksgiving holiday. This meal service will be a special dinner on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving to show those staying with us that they matter and are profoundly treasured.

Details of volunteer shift:

Wednesday, November 24^th - from 5pm-7pm at Fort Collins Rescue Mission off Jefferson St.

You will assist Mission staff in serving dinner to the guests staying with us.

Hello John,

We are so grateful you will be joining us for the Thanksgiving dinner service on November 24th. I have confirmed spots for you. Please see below for details of the shift.

Dinner meal service:

Wednesday, November 24, 2021

Begins @ 5pm or earlier if you can make it.

Ends @ 7pm

You can park in the neighborhood where on-street parking is 2 hours since there is limited parking on the property (unless there is an available spot in our parking lot). We will provide aprons and gloves but ask that you bring a mask. If you have long hair, we ask that you pull it back or wear a hat. We encourage you to store valuables in your locked car, but we also have a volunteer cabinet for you to store personal items if needed.

Just a heads up, we still are doing our weekly COVID testing to ensure and keep up with our cases and 'outbreak status'. Even though we haven't had any positive cases in the last few weeks there is a chance we suddenly get a wave of COVID cases. If this does occur, I will contact you immediately and advise accordingly.
