A message has been submitted to jkef...@larimer.org from Larimer.org:

Mr. Kefalas,
We've met in the past when you visited with our Responders at Livermore Station 1.
This narrative is now focused more on the upper portions of CR 74E entering red Feather Lakes, where our kids live.

Good news is the new road paving....bad news is the current practice of leaving dangerous edges in the new pavement is causing rollovers and creating a very serious life-threat risk....The County Engineering group know this all too well but have not addressed the situation.

We've learned to trust you and your robust response to such issues! I have pics but not seeing any way to download same.
Please check this out!

Thanks again for all you do Commissioner.

Hello Michael,

Thank you for contacting me about your concerns regarding serious road hazards on CR 74E. If you folks are able, I encourage you and your neighbors to attend our 8/25 (Thurs) RFL Community Conversation, 12-1:30 PM at the Community Association Building. Mark Peterson will be present to speak to the public safety concerns raised about the RFL Road.and the paving project, and how we will address these issues including the edges on the road sides. If you are not able to make this gathering, please let me know, and I will ask Mark to provide a detailed response to your concerns,

Good Morning,
As follow-up, I wanted to let you know Mark Peterson did give me a call and explained the approach used in balancing a timely construction phase with the ultimate safety measures.

Certainly, no perfect answers but he did help to explain the process.

Thanks again.
