Introducing Showcase, Available in Spring

From Requirements to Results in Workforce Funding

We reviewed the latest requirements for the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) in this week's blog. Some important details are as follows:

WIOA requires each state to submit a Unified or Combined State Plan that outlines a four year strategy for the workforce development system with a required update after two years (modifications can happen now).
These plans must align with the six core programs: Adult, Dislocated Worker, Youth, Adult Education and Family Literacy Act, Wagner Peyser Employment Service, and Vocational Rehabilitation. Each program must have indicators for measurement.
