As many of you are aware Ultipro merged with Kronos, creating UKG. With this merger, we were notified that UTM (Ultipro Time Management) the time entry part of payroll, will no longer be sold and will be phased out for current customers.
Note: This is ONLY the time management piece, meaning where you enter hours and leave - time card, not other UKG system changes.
We're taking this as a great opportunity to do better with time management. When we implemented time management with UltiPro, it was really rough, for us and our employees.
Our objectives to make this better than last time include:
- Requirements gathering with IT support, including multiple check-ins.
- Early engagement in demos to promote discussion about requirements/expectations.
- Gap analysis between requirements and deliverables.
- Training (early and frequent).
- Ensuring proper staffing levels in Payroll.
In the fall, working with IT, we began engaging with Departments and Offices that we are aware have unique complexities related to time entry and/or scheduling. These initial interactions will help discussions and components of a demo of the new time management tool, Dimensions, and the scheduling tool, TeleStaff.
We have three show me events scheduled in January, if you're not included in one of the events listed below that you would like to be included in, please let me know. Additionally, please make sure appropriate staff in your department/office is included by viewing the invite or checking their calendar:
- Intended for Department staff involved in payroll. January 19, 2022 - 12:00-2:00, this is a Dimensions Demo - time entry, this is a broad longer demo focused on the use of the tool.
- Intended for 24hr operations with unique scheduling needs. January 21, 2022 - 1:00-3:00, this is a Telestaff Demo - scheduling tool, this will be a broad demo focused on the use of the tool.
- Intended for Department Heads, with less of an interest in the longer demo on the 19th. January 25, 2022 - 2:00-3:00, a high-level demo of Dimension (time entry) and Telestaff Scheduling, primarily informational.
We are continuing to work on the timeline for this project, but we are roughly expecting to begin implementation in the early Fall of 2022, with a go-live late Spring of 2023.
