We are honored to announce that the Parents Circle - Families Forum has been nominated for the 2026 Nobel Peace Prize.
This recognition belongs, first and foremost, to our members: bereaved Israeli and Palestinian families who, in the face of unimaginable loss, have chosen a path of reconciliation over revenge, and shared humanity.
As violence rages on and hope can feel distant, this nomination is a reminder that another way is not only possible, it is already being lived, every day, by those most directly affected.
For decades, PCFF members have come together to share their stories, to listen across differences, and to challenge the deeply ingrained belief that our pain must separate us. Their courage does not erase grief but it transforms it into something that can build a different future.
We do not take this recognition lightly. Nor do we see it as a moment of arrival. Rather, it is an urgent call to continue the work of humanizing the “other,” of breaking cycles of hatred, and of demanding peace and the sanctity of human life above all.
The nomination was submitted by 2017 Nobel Peace Prize Winner Sharon Dolev and backed by the International Peace Bureau. The nomination states the the Parents Circle:
