Illegal business on Devils Gulch Road?

Hello North End Property Owners’ Association Board Members', Larimer County Commissioners', Mayor Hall and Frank Lancaster -on the board of the Estes Planning Commission,

After being blasted by music and late night to early morning partying from Thursday night through Sunday at Aspen Falls this last weekend, located at 1380 Devils Gulch Road- (across the road & a bit east of the Gem Lake Trailhead) some of the neighbors went over & nicely asked the group to please lower the volume and were told to f**k off. We are zoned EV RE-1 Rural Estate. It looked like a wedding was taking place. We thought the place was an Air BNB & occasional noise is to be expected but upon further investigation we find that they are advertising themselves as a commercial wedding venue on The Knot. A neighbor called the manager John, listed on the Knot, and he said they were NOT advertising as a commercial wedding venue- LOL- seriously- check out their ad:

I’m acting on behalf of neighbors on Chasm Drive & those directly across fro the venue. Please look into this matter & let us know if this is legal & what our next steps are & who to call when the noise gets out of hand.

Deedee, I’m adding Deputy Town Administrator Jason Damweber, since Town Admin Machalek is out of town. I’m not sure which properties are in town limits vs unincorporated (Larimer County), but excessive noise should be called to our EPPD’s Code Enforcement. 

As far as the potential illegal business aspect, staff can determine that status with the town clerk’s office, and so Jason can route that accordingly. Thanks for the information.
