Madaffer Enterprises has completed its Smart City Strategic Roadmap for The City of Rancho Cordova, CA. The Madaffer Enterprises Team presented the final document to the City Council at the June 19th meeting. The team then opened the floor to questions and discussion from the mayor and council members. The project was received positively by the council following ten months of collaboration and development by the Smart Cities Team of Madaffer Enterprises.
Madaffer Enterprises began this process by reviewing city documents and plans and found that Rancho Cordova had already made significant progress in technology and innovation. To build on their successes, meetings were held with key city staff and stakeholders. The team also reviewed recent developments from the smart city space in other cities. As Rancho Cordova maintains a strong relationship with their business community and Chamber of Commerce, the team held multiple roundtable meetings with them to get feedback on what they would like to see in a smart city roadmap.
Based on the extensive information-gathering efforts, Madaffer Enterprises went to work organizing the roadmap into several focus areas and initiatives. These areas center on becoming a city that is user-friendly, equitable and inclusive, safe and efficient, and a place for opportunity. The roadmap then details individual objectives that support each focus area and gets the city closer to accomplishing its ambitions. The final result is a comprehensive document outlining the future goals for Rancho Cordova as they dive further into technology and innovation endeavors.
