WHAT

In an effort to improve security and to stay up to date with new features IT will be upgrading our OKTA Platform. In preparation of the upgrade IT will be decommissioning a service called Desktop SSO. This service allows you to automatically login to some apps IF you are onsite at a County building. By decommissioning DesktopSSO we will be able to proceed with an upgrade to the OKTA platform that will have many benefits (including self password resets).

WHAT YOU MAY NOTICE

If you work at a Larimer County location, you may notice an extra login prompt when accessing some OKTA applications. There is no need for concern, and you will be able to access applications once you complete the login.

WHEN WILL WORK BE COMPLETED?
IT will be turning this service off and upgrading OKTA on Thursday, January 4,2024, during our regular maintenance window (between 6 p.m. January 4, and 6 a.m. Thursday, January 5).

Thank you for your patience during this work. If you have any questions, please contact the Service Desk at 970-498-5000 or visit our self-service portal.
