ANNOUNCEMENT: Upcoming Zscaler Upgrade Today 04/06/2023 @ 9:30am

Good Morning Everyone,

We are excited to announce a new feature in Zscaler that we will be rolling out today to all computers in your department. The new feature is called Zscaler Machine Tunnel. This allows Zscaler to be running and connected to the county network via VPN before you sign in.

This feature will be especially helpful for remote workers if their password expires, as they will no longer need to contact the Service Desk to help get signed into their computer after the change. You will notice a new Zscaler Diagnostic icon when signing in down in the lower left corner.

You may not see the Zscaler Diagnostics account until you restart your computer after the installation has finished. Please make sure to restart your computers this evening for the changes to be applied.

For most instances, you shouldn't need to use the Zscaler Diagnostics feature, but we wanted you to be aware that you may see something new.

Remote workers might notice a slight disruption of service from Zscaler, as it is upgrading and activating Machine Tunnel, though it is rare. This should only be for a few seconds before your connection is restored. Please make sure to save any work before the upgrade begins.

The upgrade will start at 9:30 this morning.
