Fire Restricitions

Dear Ms. Slosson,

Thank you for your email and for sharing your concerns.

I agree it is time to consider fire restrictions. The Larimer County Board of County Commissioners has a recommendation from Larimer County Sheriff for specific fire restrictions already on the agenda for the BoCC's Admin Matters agenda for this Tuesday.  We can only set restrictions for Larimer County in the unincorporated areas. Municipalities like Fort Collins set their own restrictions, and the Governor of Colorado has the executive power to set state restrictions. 

The board works with the Sheriff to closely monitor conditions. We thank you for reaching out to us. We will be taking a vote on the restrictions Tuesday. You can watch on our website or YouTube channel this Tuesday.
