The Del Norte County Public Health Branch has released new COVID-19 Local Data.

Released: 11/25/2020 5:58:59 PM

There have been forty (40) positive cases of COVID-19 reported to Public Health since the last update on 11/20/2020. The level of transmission of COVID-19 is now widespread in our community and we have officially been moved into the Purple Tier. The amount of cases we have had in the last two weeks and the amount of contacts generated from each case has been overwhelming to our Public Health system. We had to make the decision to follow up with patients or to focus on our data and some of the specifics of the cases will need to be added at a later date.

We at Public Health continue to reach out to cases and contacts. We would like to urge anyone who has received a positive COVID-19 test or is a close contact of a positive case to visit our website at www.covid19.dnco.org to find out what they should do next. A large majority of these cases were linked to gatherings, so we would like to remind everyone to be as safe as possible during this holiday weekend. Small actions can have a large effect--not just on a few people, but on our entire community.
