Attention, Purple Penguins!

The time of the year has arrived—District Convention registration is NOW OPEN! Save the date for April 10th-12th, where we’ll roll out the carpet for the next term in Sacramento, California! This year’s DCON theme is Lights, Camera, Service ✨📸🎬 ! Please star this email for future reference if you are interested in attending DCON.

This email will cover the following:

  • What is District Convention?

  • Why should I attend?

  • How do I register?

  • DCON Office Hours

What is District Convention?

District Convention (DCON) is an annual event to celebrate all the achievements of the previous term, elect the new District Executive Board, attend a variety of educational workshops and interactive expos, meet new Key Clubbers across our district, and finally, welcome in the new term together. Below are pictures from last year!

Why should I attend?

DCON will be a weekend full of unforgettable experiences. There are multiple opportunities YOU can take advantage of, such as getting recognized on stage for your accomplishments, listening to phenomenal guest speakers, living it up during the Governor’s Ball, and enhancing your knowledge about Key Club. At DCON, you’ll get to meet countless other members from California, Nevada, and Hawaii while witnessing the spirit of every division and region!

How do I register?

DCON Registration is open NOW! Keep in mind, registration is NOT inclusive of hotel and transportation, so please plan accordingly. As for meals, registration will only cover Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner. For hotels, the cost is per night, and can be divided amongst 4 guests (this means the cost for housing will be reduced compared to the prices listed below).

If you are NOT PRESIDENT / VICE PRESIDENT of your club, please reach out to your home club to register! They will be the ones to register you for DCON, not you as an individual member.

Below are the following prices and due dates:

  • REGISTRATION LINK: HERE

  • ON-TIME: $250 due by THIS FRIDAY March 6th, 2026

  • LATE: $375 due by March 18th, 2026

    • NO CHECKS will be accepted; only digital payments through the registration link will be accepted.

Like last year, registration will now be online. Please communicate with your club to decide your method of transportation; the 10:1 Member:Advisor rule still applies.

I highly recommend clubs to reach out to your Kiwanis advisors and sponsoring Kiwanis clubs. Typically, clubs, members, and the Kiwanis pay 1/3 of the price of DCON each, so please begin reaching out to your members and Kiwanis ASAP!

Additionally, below are important forms and other registration materials.

All attending clubs must register at minimum ONE (1) delegate, 2 being the maximum. 2 alternates can also be registered, in the case that a delegate is unable to attend the House of Delegates on Saturday. However, don’t worry about registering as a delegate for now :)
