What's soaring superheroes!

We are officially one month into the summer! I hope that everyone has had an amazing first month and make sure to use the next months before school starts to recharge and relax. Go hang out with friends, spend time with family, and catch up on the sleep you know you need! For my seniors who are beginning to think about (or might have even started already) college applications, you got this! I know the future looks extremely scary right now but be sure to trust the process and I know you will all do great things. Without further ado, here is the June update!

UPCOMING EVENTS:


[TENTATIVE] D12 July DCM

Our July DCM for this month will be in collaboration with Division 12 South and Division 12 West! You will be able to meet a ton of new people, as well as help raise money for charity with an exciting activity that will soon be revealed…

WHERE: Cataldi Park (2900 Cataldi Dr, San Jose, CA 95132). 

WHEN: Thursday, July 24th from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Municipal Rose Garden Cleanup

Come volunteer with us at the San Jose rose garden to help trim and clean up the roses. If you plan on coming please wear comfortable shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dirt on 🧑‍🌾

WHERE: Municipal Rose Garden (1649 Naglee Avenue San Jose, CA 95126)

WHAT: Saturday, July 12th 8:45 AM - 12:00 PM

San Jose Obon Festival

Join us in helping out at the San Jose Obon Festival this year! There are various shifts and volunteer opportunities you can choose from so see the RSVP for more information. Volunteers will be assisting with various tasks such as station setup, food preparation, sales, and clean up.

WHERE: 5th Street between Taylor and Jackson Streets in San Jose, CA

WHEN: Depends on the shift (make sure to sign up for the July 12th- July 13th shifts only!!)

DIVISION GOAL UPDATE:


Our division goal progress for month are as follows (last updated early June from secretary submissions):


  • 417.65 / 6,500 hours

  • $356.16 / $2,500 for PTP/Yes! Initiative 

  • 0 / 275 dues-paid members 


BEE sure to help us reach our goals by staying an active member and officer! I am super excited to see what you all are able to accomplish this year.
