District Convention Registration Information

It's that time of year again — District Convention registration is NOW OPEN!! Mark your calendars for April 12th - 14th for an ENCHANTED DCON in Sacramento, California!

DISTRICT CONVENTION RUN-DOWN
DCON is an annual district event to celebrate the achievements of the past, elect the new District Executives, attend educational workshops, connect Key Clubbers from across California, Nevada, and Hawaii, and welcome in the new term! This year's DCON theme is "An Enchanted Year of Service." Here's a couple pictures from last year:

REGISTRATION DETAILS
REGISTRATION IS OPEN NOW! The registration does NOT include transportation and living expenses. However, most meals will be covered.
If you are NOT A PRESIDENT OR VICE PRESIDENT, please register via your home club (either reach out to your president or go through the registration process they set out for you). Do not go to the registration link unless you are the representative signing everyone up for your club.

ON-TIME: $250 due on March 6th
LATE: $285 due March 20th

Please make sure to mail the check IN ADVANCE! The deadlines are when the checks are RECEIVED BY, NOT SENT BY.
TRANSPORTATION: this will need to be arranged for each club, as there will be no division bus. I recommend looking into AmTrak, which is $80 round-trip but very convenient and not too long (~3 hours). If you choose this option, please reserve in advance on the website. Whichever method you choose, however, please make sure that you always have a chaperone with you.
HOTELS: cost listed below is PER NIGHT. You can divide the cost among up to 4 GUESTS.
HOTEL OPTIONS (decided by your club):
RESIDENCE INN: $266.03
SHERATON: $237.25
HYATT: $226.58
THE CITIZEN: $219.61
I highly recommend all clubs interested in attending DCON to start fundraising ASAP and to reach out to your sponsoring Kiwanis to cover part of the costs for members. The general guideline is that members, Kiwanis, and clubs each pay 1/3 of the DCON price. If you are in need of ideas, please reach out to me!
Additionally, advisors must have a background check completed. Please let me know if you need help looking for advisors.
