$0 / $500 (0.0%) for Erika’s Lighthouse
I know that April and May were busy with AP Exams, Finals, and just transitioning into the new term, so hopefully we can start ramping up our service hours and fundraising going into summer!
May DCM Recap
Thank you to all those who were able to attend our first in-person DCM! We went through the DCM portion (which will hopefully be more smooth next time), bonded over bracelet making, and handed out the $1,500 Mary Reber scholarships to the following individuals:
Chao-Chi Yang (Piedmont Hills)
Quynh Dao (Piedmont Hills)
Noorpreet Thinda (San Jose)
If you’re a rising senior, make sure to look out for more scholarship opportunities toward the end of the term! There’s dozens of scholarships available for you to apply for through Key Club, as long as you’re a dues-paid member.
LTG Banquet
It’s time for the most exciting event of the year… Esha’s LTG Banquet! Please come join us to celebrate the end of Esha’s term, watch dazzling performances, and… attend a Rizz Workshop!! I’ll be sending out an email shortly with more information, but here’s the general information:

Division Newsletter
If you haven’t heard yet, our amazing Division News Editor Vicky Zheng has released the first newsletter of the term, the May Newsletter! Check it out at tinyurl.com/aprild12enews25!
** The flyer & link say April, but it is the May newsletter.
Upcoming Opportunities
Our division will have many opportunities to get involved in the coming
months. In the summer, be on the lookout for Division Technology, Fundraising, and Visual Media Team applications! If you’re interested in a low-commitment opportunity to develop your skills in technology, fundraising, or visual media, these opportunities will be great for you!
If these don’t interest you, keep your eyes peeled for opportunities to join the service, spirit, and judging committees later on in the term!
In addition to division teams, we will be having our annual FRN T-Shirt Design Contest with the winner getting a free spirit pack! Also be on the lookout for a Suggestion Box post, where you can input your ideas into making our term the biggest success!
District Updates
June SOSP
If you didn’t know, the SOSP (Spotlight on Service Program), is a program to promote the International and District service initiatives through monthly themes of service. For June, the theme is health & safety. This month, you can promote health through events such as sports tournaments and volunteering for youth sports leagues and safety through events such as creating care packages or making safety flyers. You can read a longer guide to ideas here.
June Newsletter
At the start of the month, our new District News Editor Nia released our first District Newsletter! Check it out with introductions to our new District Leadership Team, updates from Key Club International and CNH Key Club, and more!
Region Updates
Key Club Training Conference
Is it a bird? Is it a plane? NO! It’s our region’s most-attended event of the year, Key Club Training Conference! Right now, the wicked Queen of Hearts is threatening this term’s success, and we need YOUR help at KCTC to stop her!
Come join us for a fun day of fun workshops (hint: you might learn how to rizz!), activities, service and more! And, you may have the opportunity to pie either me, Natalie Do (D12S LTG), Hillary Mai (D12W LTG), or Rico Tan Chen (D34N LTG)...
I’ll be sending out a more detailed email soon, but here’s some general information:

Region Training Conference
We are currently working on planning our annual Region Training Conference with Regions 9, 15, and 17. Mark your calendars for October 12-13 at Camp Jones Gulch for this spirited event! Be on the lookout for more information as the date approaches.
Final Remarks
If you made it to the end, thank you for reading this (quite lengthy) email! I’m so grateful for all of your contributions to our community; keep up the good work!
