Hi guys!!! I'm having the following issue while trying to deploy Cloud Foundry v191 in Openstack.

Deploying
---------
Deployment name: `deployment.yml'
Director name: `
bosh'

Director task 40
  Started preparing deployment
Started preparing deployment > Binding deployment. Done (00:00:00)
Started preparing deployment > Binding releases. Done (00:00:00)
Started preparing deployment > Binding existing deployment. Done (00:00:00)

     Done preparing deployment (00:00:01)

Started preparing package compilation > Finding packages to compile. Done (00:00:00)

Started preparing dns > Binding DNS. Done (00:00:00)

Started preparing configuration > Binding configuration. Done (00:00:01)

  Started updating job etcd_z1
Started updating job etcd_z1 > etcd_z1/0 (canary). Failed: Action Failed get_task: Task 7d15d791-1d40-47c5-4bc6-d8fb89f667f6 result: Mounting persistent disk: Getting real device path: Timed out getting real device path for /dev/sdc (00:05:18)

Error 450001: Action Failed get_task: Task 7d15d791-1d40-47c5-4bc6-d8fb89f667f6 result: Mounting persistent disk: Getting real device path: Timed out getting real device path for /dev/sdc

Task 40 error

For a more detailed error report, run: bosh task 40 --debug

So I'm kind of lost because disk creation and attaching time is no more than 30 seconds and many times much less and this deployment continue giving me this error.

Did you check if there is any error in openstack log (cinder and nova)?

Which version of stemcell + director are you using?

I'll need a bit more info about that vm (ssh into created vm):
- capture output from lsblk
- capture output from df -h
- sanitized /var/vcap/bosh/settings.json
- does openstack dashboard show that disk attached to the vm?
- do you use config_drive?
