Hi all,

this week our nfs_server was out of disk space (for the second time).

I tried to resize the disk and deployed it via bosh; data was succesfully moved to the new disk, but reattaching the volume to the nfs_server VM failed and my CF deployment was F**CKED.

Using bosh cloudcheck I tried to resolve the corrupted setup, but this did not go very well.

Only option left was recreate the nfs_server VM via bosh. It also magically reattached the new larger volume to the newly created VM, so everything now works again.... pfffiiieeeewww.

But, I want to schedule some kind of cleanup mechanism for the nfs_server. What are my options? Anyone tried something simular?

Regards,

Hi,

We had the exact same problem with our installation. So +1 for a clean up functionality.

If I understood correctly there is already a backlog item for that on http://cftracker.cfapps.io/runtime :

We should not keep all past versions of an app droplets (57595258)finished

Hope it will be included in the next release of CF.

Cheers,
Thomas

Hi James,

has this been released now in v147?

What would be a nice to have it there was some kind of release notes that are actually human readable with some high level feature description ;-)

James,

maybe I can contribute something in this area. What would be nice if it would be possible to link the commits in a release to items in the pivotal tracker. But I would no need access to some kind of API to be able to retrieve the issues from the issue tracker. It would also require that the developers tag or add a issue id in the commit message in order to link them together.

we are working on opening up the trackers completely. it will take a bit more time however.

many commits already do refer to the story ids which are also shown on cftracker.cfapps.io site.
