Mailing List Migration - Wednesday April 29, 2015

All,

The foundation IT team will be performing the migration from google groups to a mailman-based list infrastructure on Wednesday morning (between 8 AM and 9 AM PT). Here's what you need to know about this change:

1) You will be automatically subscribed to the new lists, and will receive an email to that effect during the subscription process. This shouldn't require any action on your part.

2) The lists addresses will change:

• vcap...@cloudfoundry.org will become cf-...@lists.cloudfoundry.org
  
• bosh...@cloudfoundry.org and bosh-...@cloudfoundry.org will be consolidated into cf-...@lists.cloudfoundry.org
  
• lat...@cloudfoundry.org will become cf-la...@lists.cloudfoundry.org
  

3) The google groups will be switched to read-only. Emailing the lists will result in an auto-responder message pointing you to the new lists. The google group archives will remain visible (but read only) for searching. The new list archives will be visible here: http://lists.cloudfoundry.org/mailman/listinfo

4) All new development and user mailing lists will be on the mailman infrastructure going forward.
