Hi,

I'm trying to build hue and not having much success so far. I'm
getting the following error message :

--- Building egg for MySQL-python-1.2.3c1

I'm interpreting this to mean that MySQL or MySQL python is a pre-
req. However, I don't see any documentation to that effect.

Any information would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi Karthik,

We do package in MySQL for Python, which is listed as one of the third party inclusions at $HUE_HOME/ext/thirdparty/README.md.  It seems that the setup of that package also happens to require the mysql_config binary, which you can get by installing the libmysqlclient-dev package on Debian.  I believe the package is MySQL-devel on RHEL, but don't quote me on that.

Thanks,
Natty
