Kitten example to run map-reduce job

My hadoop cluster is configured for Yarn, however jobs are still triggered by MR v1 Driver and JobRunner.
While Kitten is an interesting framework, it requires a learning curve with Lua and YARN itself.

Would it be possible to share an example (perhaps .lua file) that triggers some map-reduce job?
