How to edit jobbrowser/templates/jobs.mako source code?

 Hi everyone

First of all, My English isn't great enough.
So  if anyone found my sentences sound a little awkward, please forgive me.

Right now ,  i want to edit jobbrowser/templates/jobs.mako source code

I want to add one more column in jobbrowser (behind the "Submitted")

and  i will use a python file to send a request to query my db and present my data in this column.
 
But i have no idea how to achieve that.

i don't know how jobs.mako communicate with python file
and how does jobs.mako js work

i really need some help   thanks
