Hue notebooks sparkr.zip not found error

I'm using CDH 5.10 and got Livy server running as well. When trying to use 'R' in the Hue notebooks, I run into the error: 

 

  requirement failed: sparkr.zip not found; cannon run sparkr application

Does Hue notebooks require spark-r to be installed/configured separately which isn't supported by CDH? Does it support R or Spark-R?

Please let me know.

Hi,

We have achieved this on HDP following this: https://github.com/randerzander/r-service

On CDH probably the easiest way to folow this guide: https://community.cloudera.com/t5/Cloudera-Manager-Installation/How-to-add-R-studio-service-in-Cloudera-manager/td-p/55221

As R should be installed on every node, maybe the easiest way to automate installation of opensource distribution would be using fabric (www.fabfile.org).

Thanks Raimondas, actually I was wondering about how to get it work in the Hue Notebooks which seems to thrown an error.
