Hue Test Server

Hi,

I would like to know if this would work.

We have 2 clusters with CDH 5.7.2 Hue 3.9 installed. One cluster is the production cluster and the other is a test cluster. Can we make Hue (with the Oozie coordinators and workflows) on the test cluster identical to the one on the production cluster by backing up the production Hue DB and restoring it as the test Hue DB? Will it begin running the workflows shortly after?

Yes, why not. If there is any difference in workflows' version then follow their documentation from Apache Oozie but I don't think there is a major version issue; Minor, not an issue.

Hastimal,

Thanks. I’ll give it a try. I do see that Oozie has not change versions much in the latest CDH releases. It’s still 4.1.
